When trying to play back 2700p videos on my note 8 and gear vr it says codec not supported. Is there a fix for this?

I can't play the 2700p gear vr videos on my 9+ either. Tried different apps. Best I can get is skybox to show a few frames and stutter super slow

Hello. The problem might be in your phone which is not capable of playing h.265 encoded videos.

The H264 decoder can decode only up to 3840x2160 @ 60FPS, while our 2700p videos are encoded in higher resolution and because of that the h.265 decoder is used.

the phones listed here are the latest and fastest phones that gear vr supports. so what is the 2700p gear vr download intended for?

hpb Hey! Sorry for the late reply. The 2700p gearvr download is intended for the users with phones capable of running these files.

The truth is that even some "fastest" or "newest" phones can't handle them. For examples, my EU S8 can run these videos with no problem, while a US S8 or even higher will have problems you described. So its basically a chipset issue and some phone won't be able to run it.

Hmmm. Strangely, even tough I'm logged in, it says "JOIN NOW" and I don't have access to any of the videos anymore. Every time I try and download, I get the trailer instead.

My membership is not expired either, as I have a year sub, and that's not up until December... Any idea what's going on?

The sound in the background makes a ticking kind of sound. Can you fix this?

since you partnered up with doublevr and his company, and listened to g2kbuffetboy about the 60mbps->30mbps the quality took a deepdive...why degrade the quality? Scale is bad now, scenes full of artifacts, colors sucks.. you were the best quality site when you came out with your 5K, and now you took a mile long backstep, even your older 4k scenes were better quality... pls break with SLR if they are the reason of this bad quality, ty.

Shaitronic The deep dive in quality over the month of June & July has NOTHING to do with my suggestion about 60Mbps to 30Mbps. The month of June/July they have already confessed they messed things up with their tech and rig. The bitrate argument is totally separate from this. If you look at the videos from months ago during the 60Mbps and shortly thereafter 30Mbps phase, you will see they are all glorious and full of clarity.

All the big-scaled videos are the ones that are the problem, not the bitrate.

g2kbuffetboy yeah i know that the june/july had bigger problem than the 30mbps, but the quality was better with 60mbps than the scene that first come out as 30mbps without slr contributiion. At least on htc vive(1.0) its noticable, but the main problem isnt the 30mbps, but the SLR fuckups...they need to get rid of them.

^ And I agree. All of June/July videos look horrible. Really frustrating for me too since I love Vanessa Decker, Alecia Fox, and have been wanting them to do another threesome scene for a while now. All three got hit with the horrible scale and quality.

Shaitronic Interesting about what you say about SLR. I don't think they would be the ones responsible since I think their SinVR videos and remastering of StasyQ's vids are quite good. Unfortunately since SexBabes are currently on vacation we won't get an answer for another week or so. Whatever the case, I really do hope they return to their stellar quality of a few months ago.
